INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

FULL-TIME

  

We’re looking to hire an Inside Sales Representative to complement our sales team and deliver exceptional sales support. The Inside Sales Rep will build strong relationships amongst the team and accomplish desired results. You will play a collaborative role in growing and implementing standards and processes.

We’re looking for a passionate, self-motivated account sales representative to join our winning team and help grow Volk’s book of business. In this role, you'll have no limit to your earning potential with no cap on commissions alongside countless opportunities to learn and grow!


Responsibilities you’ll own:

  • Grow a book of business through identifying, sourcing, and developing relationships with prospective clients. 
  • Manage a high volume of outbound phone calls to sell Volk transportation solutions, negotiate rates, and service your existing account network. 
  • Effectively utilize Salesforce and Volk's proprietary software to handle daily operational tasks such as client prospecting, invoicing, and tracking shipments. 
  • Build relationships with internal departments to ensure Volk is growing with and ahead of industry standards 


Experiences and requirements:

  • Transportation sales experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
  • Motivated to reach and exceed sales quotas
  • Ability to cold call with persistent and assertive style
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, competitive environment that requires problem solving and decision making


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay commensurate with experience

This job currently is an in-office position. It may require occasional travel outside of typical work hours to company events, client sites, and carrier locations. This role requires the use of a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office with an open seating floor plan. The employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
