We’re looking to hire a Cost / Pricing Analyst to analyze and identify inconsistencies and irregularities in pricing. The Pricing/Cost Analyst will build strong relationships amongst the team and accomplish desired results. You will play a collaborative role in growing and implementing cost-efficient solutions for inefficiency problems and determine pricing, and prepare RFPs. This position will improve financial efficiency and provide data-driven advice to company leadership.
Responsibilities you’ll own:
- Collect, analyze, and determine pricing efficiencies of company routes and lanes.
- Analyze and develop company-wide pricing standards.
- Understand the variables of our operations that impact pricing, such as time spent loading and unloading, drop trailers, and dead head miles and their associated costs.
- Determine customer pricing and generate customer agreement, tariff, and proposal.
- Follow established procedures and set-up matrices.
- Prepare RFPs.
- Prepare documents and reports regarding pricing improvements for managers and executives.
- Maintain company pricing procedures and processes.
- Recommend changes to the company’s processes and policies to maximize profit.
- Analyze business operations, trends, pricing, and budget financial commitments and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Support VP of Finance by assisting, as needed.
Experiences and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business with an emphasis in accounting, or related field preferred.
- Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suites, Xcel, and QuickBooks.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, state and federal regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Effective communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
- Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Knowledge of managing the operations of a business, company, or group.
