We’re looking to hire a Software & Systems Analyst who will be a local expert/superuser who assists co-workers with the use of specified software programs and processes and is responsible for maintaining our technology environment by identifying and researching technology requirements, providing efficient and effective training on programs, problem identification and resolution for end users. This position performs analytical, technical, and administrative work and encompasses knowledge of area workflows and current policies and procedures used to establish, revise, or maintain efficient business processes.
Responsibilities you’ll own:
- Analyze and understand business needs, workflow, and processes to help define detailed requirements and suggest potential systemic solutions and/or improvements to streamline and reduce paper flow.
- Become a superuser of software programs such as PCS, Microsoft Office, WMS, et cetera, and serve as point-of-contact for user questions.
- Determine best use of equipment and define processes for the use of computers, phones, Microsoft Office 365, etc. to improve operational efficiencies (less clicks) and reduce paperwork.
- Prepare users by creating SOPs and conducting training for new and existing employees and have a system in place for communicating updates to staff.
- Provide competency training and technical assistance on internal processes to employees.
- Monitor workflow and behaviors throughout the training process
- Eliminate process gaps by implementing a standardized training program.
- Function as a resource and problem solver by responding to support requests from end users and assist individuals with basic troubleshooting tasks.
- Explain technical information in clear terms to non-technical individuals to promote better understanding.
- Respond to requests answering user questions regarding systems programs and/or processes, and computer, phone, copier, phone, and fax machine.
- Assist with system set up for new employees ensuring proper installation of operating systems, or software.
- Identify and refer unresolved hardware or software problems to Trimble, CTS, or PCS for resolution.
- Serve as liaison between Volk Transfer and PCS, CTS, and CCI.
Experiences and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field, preferred.
- Working knowledge of all electronic devices.
- Hardware troubleshooting skills
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of multi-line phone system, cell phone and copier/fax machine
- Two years of previous experience preferred, but not required.
